Remembrance Day at Babworth Crematorium
Babworth Crematorium will be marking Remembrance Day by holding a special service in its chapel on Friday 11 November.
The service takes place between 10.30am and 11.30am with a two-minute silence being held at 11am. A special banner will be on display and poppy wreaths will be laid as a mark of respect.
Babworth Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, tranquil places for people to visit and reflect.
Site Manager Amanda Carr said: “Remembrance Day is a time when so many people pause to think about all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
“Our peaceful and tranquil site is a fitting place for people to visit and make their own remembrance.
“No advance booking is required, and all are welcome.
“We wanted to do this as part of our continuing efforts to play a positive role in local community life and to engage with the people who live in the area surrounding our beautiful site.”
