Dedication by the Bishop of Hallam

Babworth Crematorium dedication service took place on Thursday June 6th, and was well attended by local Funeral Directors, Clergy, Funeral Celebrants and senior representatives of professional organisations from the bereavement sector.
The service of dedication was led by the Right Reverend Ralph Heskett, Bishop of Hallam, who emphasised how important the people involved in making funeral arrangements and providing facilities at Crematoria are and how vital it is to provide the correct environment for the bereaved to be able to mourn.
The Bishop blessed the buildings and grounds and spoke of the how the new Crematorium will provide a place where services can be held for those of every faith and those with none, meeting the needs and wishes of every family. Babworth Crematorium is a place where they can all draw comfort from the beautiful natural surroundings.
